Position: IT Operations Support Analyst Co-op - Fall 2024

 

Location: Seneca Falls, NY (On-site)

 

Major: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) program in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering at a sophomore or higher level

 

Academic Schedule: Fall 2024, full-time, 40 hours per week

 

Position Summary:

Our ITT Goulds Pumps co-op candidates have the unique opportunity to work for one of the most recognizable pump brands in the world. Under the general direction of the IT leadership, you will learn how to maintain LAN, connectivity to WAN, performs tier 2 and 3 level IT support (Desktops, Connectivity, Servers, Troubleshooting IT issues, end user support). You will also learn to be the contact point for IT issue resolution and will escalate issues when necessary.

 

This is a hands-on technical roll for anyone interested in tech support. The co-op will interact with users at our Seneca Falls, NY location to help them with their technical issues related to laptops, network, and software. This will result in having to interact with other IT teams to resolve problems for end users. This will provide broad exposure to working in the IT field and end user support for the right candidate.

• Utilizes software and hardware tools, identifies, and diagnoses problems and factors affecting IT performance.
• Ongoing support of applications that exploit the capability of our infrastructure to simplify processes, eliminate manual effort and improve the timeliness, accuracy, and value of information.
• Performs trouble shooting and coordinates problem resolution with EI and software vendors.
• Coordinates the upgrade and installation of IT equipment
• Maintains working knowledge of supported software and provides application and technical support to end-users.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with management to assist them in technical issue resolution.
• Stays abreast of emerging technologies and developments.

• Looking to start their career in IT
• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) program from four-year college or university in computer science, information technology or computer engineering at a sophomore or higher level
• Ability to troubleshooting PC issues, imaging PC and conduct equipment setup
• Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and internal customers.
• Optional – any Microsoft certifications
• Someone that is willing to work on-site in Seneca Falls, NY
