Position Summary

Position: Data Analyst Co-op Fall 2024 (August - December)

 

Location: Hybrid/Seneca Falls, NY

 

Major: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) program in Computer Science or applicable degree as a sophomore or higher level

 

Academic Schedule: Fall 2024, full-time, 40 hours per week

 

About the Experience: Our ITT Goulds Pumps co-op candidates have the unique opportunity to work for one of the most recognizable pump brands in the world. Under the general direction of the IT leadership, you will be researching approaches to AI, machine learning, and digital twin technology. From your research you will make recommendations to our approach and framework in order to apply these technologies to ITT use cases. 

 

The Data Analyst Co-op will be able research industry trends on AI/ML, and more specifically recommend approaches to solving engineering use cases.   They will work with ITT internal employees in the business to understand their requirements and translate that to technology solutions in the AI.ML space.  They will present this information to senior IT leadership and business leadership. This is green space for ITT, so we are interested in outside perspectives and approaches. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Research and study AI, Machine learning and other emerging technology
  • Understand uses cases for the application of these technologies
  • Present material to business and IT leadership to be used in the development of a strategy
  • Maintains working knowledge of supported software and provides application and technical support to end-users
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with management to assist them in technical issue resolution
  • Stays abreast of emerging technologies and developments

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) program from four-year college or university in Computer Science or applicable degree at a sophomore or higher level
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and internal customers.
  • Optional – any Microsoft certifications
