Position Summary

ITT Gould's Pumps is among the most widely recognized and respected brands in the global pump industry, serving customers in the oil and gas, mining, power generation, chemical, pulp and paper, and general industrial markets. As the only manufacturer to make digital monitoring standard on every process pump, ITT Gould's Pumps continues to lead the industry in both mechanical pump design and the adoption of smart technologies.

 

The position is for a Contractor Sales Engineer responsible for managing and growing a sales territory selling engineering pumping equipment and service for consistent growth of ITT Gould's Pumps Industrial Process. This is accomplished through development of new and existing end-user customers within the territory. The Sales Representative is responsible for sales planning and achieving an annual sales forecast by meeting growth targets for a set territory. 

 

The territory will focus on large OEM, Green Energy and Onshoring Markets:  Carbon capture, Hydrogen, EV battery manufacturing & recycling, EV automobile facilities, Lithium mining, and semi-conductors.  The position will be located ideally in Chicago, Denver, Arizona, Utah or Houston.  Depending on experience, other locations may be considered.

Essential Responsibilities

Essential duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Develop customers for increased portfolio sales by consultative selling and solution selling in an effort to meet all territory forecast and growth objectives.

- Establish a positive personal relationship with key buying influences at target accounts.

- Make sales presentations to customers demonstrating our products and capabilities.

- Establish and maintain Value Based Commercial Excellence account plans for the territory.

- Maintain an electronic quote log for all open quotes in the territory. 

- Communicate to Sales Management via a monthly report on competitor information, customer needs, market conditions, issues, successes and sales efforts.  

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or combination of education & experience.

- Previous experience selling rotating equipment to Engineering firms and OEM’s.

- Mechanical aptitude and interest in mechanical equipment; experience in pulp & paper mills, power plants, chemical, oil & gas, steel, semi-conductors, mining & minerals.

- Display high degree of independence, requires little management guidance to meet objectives.

- The position will require overnight travel.

Motion Technologies (Revenue of $1.4B; headcount of 4,700; operates in 13 countries) manufactures brake components and specialized sealing solutions, shock absorbers and damping technologies primarily for the global automotive, truck and trailer, public bus and rail transportation markets;

Industrial Process (Revenue of $1.0B; headcount of 2,800; operates in 30 countries) manufactures engineered fluid process equipment serving a diversified mix of customers in global industries such as chemical, energy, mining, and other industrial process markets and is a provider of plant optimization and efficiency solutions and aftermarket services and parts;

Connect and Control Technologies (Revenue of $0.6B; headcount of 2,700; operates in 10 countries) manufactures harsh-environment connector solutions, critical energy absorption, flow control components, and composite materials for the aerospace and defense, general industrial, medical, and energy markets.

ITT offers a competitive salary and robust total rewards package, such as health insurance, 401(k), short and long-term disability, paid time off, growth and developmental opportunities, and other incentive compensation programs. Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range

87,000.00 to 130,200.00 plus benefits and bonus
