Position Summary

The Westminster, SC site is part of the Connect & Control Technologies value center and is home to several brands serving the industrial automation, oil and gas, automotive and motion control markets.

Summary:

Will have full responsibility for manufacturing and supply chain operations for our Westminster, SC Site with diversified product lines in a high mix low volume Focused Factory environment.  Will drive key performance metrics centered on: safety, compliance, on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, value for price, profitability, operational excellence and effective use of technology.  Will champion lean engagement and identify opportunities to increase manufacturing capacity while preserving overall flexibility, anticipating and responding to global market demands.  Additionally, this key Business Leader, in collaboration with our leadership team, will drive the strategic agenda for Westminster’s growth and profitability as it relates to Production, Engineering, Program Management, Prototype Development, and Customer Service.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Champion manufacturing strategy, direction, and focus for Westminster, SC site.
  • Develop and nurture an environment of teamwork, accountability and a sense of ownership.
  • Establish a strong culture of World-Class Manufacturing to reduce product cost and lead times, increase throughput and improve quality
  • Drive LEAN process improvements, including Six Sigma, to improve and streamline processes and reduce waste
  • Interact with customers on design, quality, cost, and delivery issues
  • Accountability for P&L and overall operational metrics including inventory, safety, quality, on-time delivery and production costs for Westminster, SC site
  • Accountability for accurately forecasting, measuring, and reporting plant performance
  • Champion formulation of annual operating and capital budgets
  • Work to align the efforts of our global sales force with Westminster’s engineering, prototype development, manufacturing and customer service resources, enabling them to achieve revenue, market share and/or margin targets.

  • Superior customer focus.
  • Create and drive culture to attract, train, develop and retain talent to ensure succession plans in collaboration with leadership team.
  • Lead decision maker to ensure resources are utilized effectively over the organization.
  • Responsible for the actions to ensure P&L meets budget while ensuring quality products, when required, on time, every time.

Position Requirements

 Requirements:

 

  • Requires BS degree in Operations, Engineering, or relevant technical discipline. MBA highly desirable.  
  • Must have 10+ years progressively more responsible experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Must have ability to manage orders, sales, operating income and cash flow; accurately and proactively communicate budgets, forecasts, outlooks, opportunity pipelines, potential gaps and remedies.

 

Prior responsibilities should include:

  • Significant participation in a company’s strategic planning process and preparation of departmental budgets and operating plans
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, mentor, unify, and lead a plant business with diversified product lines
  • Ability to work and lead in a matrixed environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Finance and Accounting due to P&L responsibility for this position
  • Strong skills in manufacturing management and orderly, disciplined safety and quality processes, with the emphasis being placed on timely delivery of quality products to customers
  • LEAN Manufacturing principles, employing Kaizen and the 6S methodology with demonstrated successful applications.

ITT offers a competitive salary and robust total rewards package, such as health insurance, 401(k), short and long-term disability, paid time off, growth and developmental opportunities, and other incentive compensation programs. Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range

$124,400 - $180,000
