Bench deburrer operators work with minimal supervision to perform deburr operations on parts of all levels of complexity and all types of materials. Bench deburr will be able to use all applicable deburr media and tools on a variety of materials. They will also prove a high level of skill in print reading and knowledge of customer specifications. Deburr operators will also perform rework operations. 5-7 years of experience.

Essential Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Finishing all materials to close tolerance and examining surface of workpiece for defects.
  • Securing workpiece to bench or table and guides abrasive polishing wheel over workpiece to remove burrs and other defects from metal surfaces to the specification.
  • Selects correct grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or buffing wheels/disks according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives and condition of metal to attach to grinder.

Position Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Blueprint Reading
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • High School diploma or GED or trade school certification, or equivalent. 
  • Ability to read & interpret work instructions, sale orders, blueprints, or drawings to determine the necessary bench operations
  • Extensive knowledge of using hand tools, dermal tools, and abrasives for deburring
  • Ability to use measuring tools and examine parts for defects

Equal Pay Act Range

Hourly Range is $21.78/Hr. - $32.55 /Hr., plus benefits and incentive plans.
