Summary:
A Service Technician is an entry level position into the field of aviation component repairs. The main responsibility of this position is to “tear down” aerospace components and sub-assemblies sent for repair. In the “Teardown” process the technician will be responsible for disassembly, diagnosis and entering their finding into the MRP system for customer approval.
• Deburrs, grinds and buffs parts.
• Inspects all parts for cleanliness and flaws.
• Disassemble parts to ability troubleshoot and determine root cause of failures or customer non-conformances
• Read and interpret written instructions, blueprints, or engineering drawings accurately
• Use hand tools use a variety of assembly hand tools and precision measuring instruments accurately and efficiently, such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Log each step of the inspection process in the MRP system
• Record root cause of failure and necessary repairs into the MRP system for end customer approval
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
