ITT is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut with over 10,000 employees in more than 35 countries and sales in approximately 125 countries.
Create new or modified products for live orders using Goulds CAD system. Design and modify pumps, guarding, baseplates and auxiliary equipment to meet industry, product and customer specifications/standards.
Level I: Project size from $10K to approximately $10mil. Proficient in execution of class A project plans defined by order classification. Product line limited to ANSI models only. Basic understanding in knowledge areas, essential duties, and job responsibilities as defined below.
Level II: Project size from $10K to approximately $10mil. Proficient in execution of all levels of project plans defined by order classification. (A, B, C). Product line to include all ANSI models and one to two other model lines. In-depth knowledge in knowledge areas, essential duties, and job responsibilities as defined below.
Level III: Project size from $10K to approximately $10mil. Minimum of (3) project managed orders. Master in execution of all levels of project plans/orders defined by order classification. (A, B, C). Product line to include all models. Subject matter expert in knowledge areas, essential duties, and job responsibilities as defined below. Acts as a change agent and may be required to train.
Follow live order specifications (industry, product, or customer) and convert requirements into final designs.
Review customer order as configured in ePrism application to determine scope of design work.
Process changes in scope of supply when required.
Create customer 2D/3D models and/or installation drawings using Creo, Imagination, Adobe.
Create and/or modify parts and part drawings to meet order specifications.
Create factory reference and assembly drawings.
Modify and/or complete assembly bill of materials and routing instructions.
May be required to interface with internal departments and/or distribution and sales to ensure design is economically manufacturable and meets requirements.
Provide technical support to include but not limited to applications, engineering, contract administration, document specialist, procurement (including sub suppliers), shop floor assembly, etc.
Required to maintain schedule in project plan as defined by order classification.
Order maintenance in ERP system and company applications (TrakIt, DocWare, ePrism, Global Vault, 400).
Education/Experience:
Level I: 2-4 year college degree in mechanical engineering preferred. 0-1 year related experience preferred.
Level II: 2-4 year college degree in mechanical engineering preferred. Minimum 3 years related experience with drafting required.
Level III: 2-4 year college degree in mechanical engineering preferred. Minimum of 5 years related experience with drafting required.
Experience may include co-ops or internships.
