ITT Aerospace Controls in Valencia, CA is an FAA authorized Repair Station with clients from some of the
biggest commercial airline companies. The wide array of products we repair can be found on virtually every commercial and military airplane flying today including linear and rotary actuators, motor and solenoid operated valves, pumps, and electro-mechanical switches.
The Repair Station Technician interprets Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM’s), assembly blueprints, drawings, schematics and engineering specifications while using a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications for builds, and repairs/overhauls for a variety of aircraft components and sub-assemblies.
• Ability to troubleshoot and determine root cause of failures or customer non-conformances
• Record root cause of failure and necessary repairs into the MRP system for end customer approval
• Be thoroughly familiar with the contents of the Repair Station Manual and the Quality Manual
• Positions and assembles electro-mechanical aircraft components according to special instructions, routings and blueprints
• Capable of performing set-ups and repairs for all assembly of aircraft components and sub-assemblies
• Ensure all tasks assigned and completed conform to industry standards
• Coordinate with parts department to ensure that all materials are in stock or on order to complete the project on time
• 2-5 years electro-mechanical assembly or repair
• Must be able to read and interpret CMM’s, blueprints, drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Must be able to use a variety of assembly hand tools and precision measuring instruments accurately and efficiently, such as calipers, micrometers and dial indicators.
• Must be able to read, speak and write in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
• A&P Certificate a plus but not required.
• MRP computer systems knowledgeable preferred.
