The IT Business Analyst is responsible for all functional aspects of various ERPs, integrated applications, and reports supporting the Aerospace Controls business in Valencia, CA.
As a cross-functional IT and Business matter expert, this role is crucial to ensuring the effectiveness of business systems and their related business processes. This position will work with the IT team to document existing functionalities (business logic) and requirements, resolve issues, and implement solutions for business needs. The candidate will report to the IT leadership team of the value center (Connect & Control Technologies).
The IT Business Analyst collaborates with business stakeholders in Operations, Quality, Sales, Finance, Engineering, and other front-end teams to understand key business objectives and goals, analyze and prioritize process and systems opportunities, and assist businesses with reports and/or data integrity. For a person to be successful in this role, they will need to be highly driven (“high motor”), able to balance many active priorities, detail-oriented, planful, comfortable in searching out and addressing ambiguity, able to drive results to achieve intended business outcomes consistently, persists with a naturally curious and highly accountable mindset, and approaches situations in a thoughtful and process-oriented manner. Furthermore, a successful person in this role will be able to identify and exploit opportunities that enable continuous business process improvement, leveraging information technology to automate and streamline various business processes.
This position involves managing end-user relationships, responding to critical and routine application support requests (via the first-line support global IT ticketing system and emails), triaging dealing with business logic and non-development needs (coding is not a requirement), engaging in projects, and liaising with various IT teams.
