  • Industrial Process: (Revenue of $1.4B; headcount of ~3,400; operates in 30 countries) manufactures engineered fluid process equipment serving a diversified mix of customers in global industries such as chemical, energy, mining, and other industrial process markets and is a provider of plant optimization and efficiency solutions and aftermarket services and parts. 
  • Connect and Control Technologies: (Revenue of $0.8B; headcount of ~ 3,800; operates in 10 countries) manufactures harsh-environment connector solutions, critical energy absorption, flow control components, and composite materials for the aerospace and defense, general industrial, medical, and energy markets.

 

Position Summary

The Sales Support Representative will provide daily support for the direct sales force in the areas of applications, proposal work and order processing/management. Specifically, this includes reviewing specifications, making component selections, preparing proposals, providing technical support to customers, interfacing with vendors, processing orders, and expediting.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications and prepare comprehensive proposals.
  • Use in-house created software to select optimal components, generate scope of supply, and submit proposals.
  • Handle customer telephone inquiries.
  • Interface with outside vendors to solicit quotes for equipment.
  • Effectively process orders and manage any issues that arise.
  • Participate in sales calls with the Sales Engineer as part of development.
  • Organize, schedule and prioritize work to meet various schedules and objectives; reprioritize on short notice.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Participate in pre-award meetings as required.
  • Develop effective rapport with customer contacts
  • Understand and implement all company job related processes, procedures, guidelines and best practices.

Position Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or similar is required
  • 5+ years of experience in packaged equipment design (water treatment indsutry is preferred) or similar is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working with outside sales team
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects with quick turnaround requirements

ITT offers a competitive salary and robust total rewards package, such as health insurance, 401(k), short and long-term disability, paid time off, growth and developmental opportunities, and other incentive compensation programs. Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range

Pay between $87,000.00 and $130,200.00 plus bonus and benefits.
