  • Connect and Control Technologies: (Revenue of $0.8B; headcount of ~ 3,800; operates in 10 countries) manufactures harsh-environment connector solutions, critical energy absorption, flow control components, and composite materials for the aerospace and defense, general industrial, medical, and energy markets.

 

Position Summary

ITT Inc. is looking for a Senior Strategy & Business Development Analyst who will support the Strategy and Business Development Executive Director for the development and execution of ITT’s long term strategic vision, both organically and inorganically. This role is responsible for supporting and managing the annual strategic planning process, culminating in a mid-long-term strategy for CCT businesses. Additional responsibilities include market and competitor analysis and supporting the planning and execution of key internal strategic initiatives. This role will also support mergers and acquisitions by managing and screening the target pipeline, supporting valuations, businesses cases development, and due diligence on active deals.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Development and Execution of Strategic Initiatives: Align processes, resource planning and department goals with overall strategy. Support the strategic goal deployment process to ensure execution and realization of strategic objectives by working closely with business units. Support analysis and execution of key organic strategic initiatives. Be an agent of change by being agile, quickly identifying issues and driving process improvements.
  • Strategic Planning Process: Analyze and research industry trends, market conditions, customers, and competitors to identify threats and opportunities. Understand and shape the company’s strategy and mission. Work with ITT’s CCT senior leadership, ITT HQ Strategy and cross functional teams to develop, prioritize and ground strategic initiatives to turn strategic vision into concrete reality.  Scope and plan underlying analyses, understand the required data and deliver timely analysis. Analyze data and translate findings into meaningful, actionable insights and recommendations. 
  • Strategic Plan Communication: Prepare annual strategic plan presentation for ITT Leadership and Board of Directors to support effective decision-making. Communicate strategic direction and priorities to all internal stakeholders.
  • M&A / Business Development: Manage internal M&A pipeline, including identifying, prioritizing and screening potential targets. Prepare analysis, valuations and presentations for senior leadership to evaluate potential deals. Support due diligence and execution of M&A transactions.

Position Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Business, or Finance
  • 3-5+ years of work experience in strategic planning, M&A or consulting
  • Experience with Defense or Aerospace Components Manufacturing or Electronics Manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience in industrial, aerospace, or defense manufacturing
  • Demonstrated market & competitive research and analysis proficiency (primary, secondary and AI)
  • Strategic mindset with experience with financial modeling and strategy assessment (i.e., capital projects, budgeting/forecasting, organic growth projects, DCF analysis).
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities with strong analytical skill
  • Demonstrated ability to apply strategic framework to problem solving with the ability to work cross functionally to resolve issues
  • Proven ability to lead small workshop, build strong, collaborative relationship and bring divergent points of views to consensus effectively.
  • Experience with translating strategy into executable actions to drive impact
  • Self-motivated / directed, and can easily function in a high-demand, high-performance culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort tackling multiple projects concurrently, supporting multiple stakeholders
  • Organizational leadership: a change agent
  • Strong data analysis capabilities and excel modeling
  • Managerial experience preferred

The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range

Annual Salary Range is from $112,700.00 to $168,500.00, plus benefits & incentive plans.
