Responsible of leading and implementing high level advance procurement activities for Castings, Fabrications, Machining and Polymers categories to ensure strategic sourcing and cost efficiency while ensuring quality standards. Responsible for supporting the aforementioned categories for IP global project business in winning the initial business through supplier negotiation pre-award and improve margins after purchase order awarded from customer. This process requires close working relationships with suppliers, product specialists and category managers to ensure alignment with the overall category strategy while reducing the overall costs to win business. The scope includes quoting, negotiating, sourcing and managing the supplier relationships and supplier performance for the aforementioned categories in support of the global category strategy and business performance.
Primary accountability for:
support customer projects through supplier negotiations pre-award and margin enhancement post customer order award. Part of team who is responsible for more than $200M USD annual spend globally. Contribute to development of global sourcing strategies for assigned category expenditures.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience (preferred 3 years) in a manufacturing environment, preferably experienced in Castings, Fabrications and Machining.
Purchasing/ Advanced Sourcing/ Strategic Procurement knowledge a plus
