Analytics Engineer (Tech Hub / Athens)

At ITT, we are looking for a Mid/Senior (5 years of relevant experience) Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating analytics dashboards, developing and maintaining data pipelines, building data models and designing analytics solutions that help the business make data-driven decisions. This position offers the unique opportunity to work with modern cloud data technologies, enabling you to have a comprehensive impact on the organization’s data strategy.

More specifically you will: 

• Design and implement data models to support business analytics and reporting 

• Work closely with data engineers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable data solutions 

• Identify problems, explore potential solutions, evaluate their feasibility and make informed decisions to address the issues 

• Lead analytics projects from inception to completion  

• Build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights 

• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. 

• Participate in the definition of best practices, standards and optimization techniques to enhance the BI solutions 

• Be part of the development and maintenance of cloud data pipelines that ingest, clean, transform, and store data from various internal and external sources 

• Ensure data quality and governance practices are followed throughout the data lifecycle 

• Work with SQL, Python, and Azure Data technologies (specifically Microsoft Fabric) 

• Collaborate on a multinational cross-functional environment with business units to design self-service analytics solutions, enabling users to create their own reports and analyses 

• Stay up to date with the latest trends in data analytics, continuously improving tools, processes, and best practices on Azure 

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, or a similar role 

• Extensive experience in data modeling for reporting and analytics use cases 

• Proficiency in data visualization tools, more specifically Power BI with a focus on designing user-friendly dashboards 

• Solid knowledge of SQL and Python for data processing, data analysis and data science 

• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Azure 

• Proven track record of leading analytics projects from inception to completion 

• Proficiency in evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and methodologies to ensure optimal project outcomes 

• Demonstrated ability to design and propose solutions to meet project requirements, including data engineering and analytical tools such as Power BI, Fabric Dataflows and other enterprise tools 

• Experience working in agile development environments and be a collaborative team player 

• A team-oriented mindset and a passion for data-driven innovation 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with version control tools (git), working in dev and production environments is considered a plus 

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts 

• Familiarity with data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security 

• Exposure to data science concepts for analytics will be considered a plus 

• Strong communication and presentation skills 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, STEM or a related field 

• Data Analytics, Data Science or Data Engineering certifications / bootcamps / Master’s degree are a plus
