Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Application Engineer to support our direct sales force in the areas of pump applications, proposal development, and order processing. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, competitive proposals and ensuring smooth execution of customer orders for centrifugal pump systems.

 

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, customers, and vendors to provide technical support, develop proposals, and manage orders from quote to delivery. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic sales efforts and build strong customer relationships in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications and prepare comprehensive, professional proposals.
  • Select optimal centrifugal pump configurations using proprietary software tools.
  • Generate scope of supply documentation and submit orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide technical support to customers and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Interface with external vendors to obtain quotes for auxiliary equipment.
  • Process and manage customer orders, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal operations teams.
  • Participate in sales calls and pre-award meetings to support strategy and customer engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong rapport with customer contacts.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or a related technical field.

 

Experience: 

  • Experience with rotating equipment, preferably centrifugal pumps.
  • Familiarity with generating technical quotations and processing customer orders.

Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range

Between $57,100 and $85,500
