The Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-precision RF connectors by driving product and process quality across the organization. This position leverages data analytics, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to uphold rigorous quality standards, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction at our El Cajon facility. The Quality Engineer holds Material Review Board (MRB) authority and is instrumental in maintaining compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional with a strong foundation in quality systems, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-reliability manufacturing environment and demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving quality issues and driving operational excellence.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field), Quality Assurance, or a technical discipline is required.
3–5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-precision manufacturing is required.
Hands-on experience with quality systems, inspection techniques, and regulatory compliance (AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, NADCAP) is required.
Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies: Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), 8D Problem Solving, DMAIC / PDCA is required.
Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102 and PPAP documentation is preferred.
Familiarity with MRB processes and non-conformance disposition is preferred.
Ability to prepare and compile complete quality data packages (e.g., inspection records, certificates of conformance, traceability documents) is preferred.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, Internal Auditor Certification (AS9100 or ISO 9001), IPC or NADCAP-related certifications are preferred
