Position Summary

To provide external and internal support to both new and existing EMEA distributors and assist in achieving distribution sales targets as well as the growth of EMEA distribution channels

 

In summary the split for the role would be approximately (flexible as the business requires):

 

50% external, new distribution channel candidate identification, existing and new distributor visits / Operations support / Training, working with sales to develop market plans, recommendation forms

 

50% Internal support distributors / tenders / RTF / Delivery request / Process / Self-sufficient distributors etc.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support the growth of Goulds EMEA distribution channel
  • Assist in the review and appointment of new and existing distributors, including visits and market plans per
  • Goulds EMEA Distribution process
  • Manage the databases of ePrism to ensure that it is an effective sales tool for distributors which allows them to
  • make quotations and acquire orders independently
  • Providing day-to-day support for technical and commercial requests, extra pricing, RTF’s via EPRISM
  • Provide accurate and competitive pricing for distributors via Eprism
  • A primary objective is to ensure distributors are self-sufficient, work with product management and operations
  • to reduce RTF’s on EPRISM
  • Work together with sales towards making distributors self-sufficient and reducing the amount of direct contact
  • required to win orders
  • Provide product & Technical support to distributors
  • Liaise and support with Sales teams with distributor request
  • To work with product management with any specific distributor requests and development of distributor
  • products
  • Assist in the training of distributors and associates
  • Assist in the support of distributors through regular updating of the distribution pack / portal
  • Work with various plants regarding distributor delivery orders and initiatives
  • In coordination with market plan and monthly report completion by distributor, assist in coordination of
  • information and forecast requirements per factory requirement
  • Attend off-site meeting, at distributors’ offices or internal sales meeting when required
  • Review of EMEA process and monitoring of performance would be as follows:-

- Update / Collate and review EMEA distribution bookings

- Monthly Operations call to update distributor’s orders

- Bi-weekly distributor update call

- Monthly calls with distributors for update / review

Position Requirements

Education:

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree

 

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in applications / tendering role for industrial business.
  • Experience in centrifugal pump industry is a plus.
  • Experience with distributors / customers in the EMEA market (preferred)
  • Experience in sales cycle of industrial products (preferred)

 

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Fluent in English and French (other language plus),
  • Strong PC Skills with Windows and Office Programs
  • Good communication and presentation skills,
  • Self -Starter,
  • Team player and values cooperation with others,
  • Professional appearance and approach.
