Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Aftermarket Application Engineer to support our Aftermarket business, with a primary focus on quoting upgrades for centrifugal pumps. This role is critical in delivering accurate, competitive upgrade proposals and ensuring seamless coordination with internal teams and customers throughout the quoting process.

 

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and operations to evaluate customer requirements, develop tailored upgrade solutions, and support strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth.

Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed upgrade proposals that incorporate hydraulic, mechanical, and material enhancements aligned with performance objectives and site-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and sourcing teams to validate upgrade feasibility and ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Generate accurate cost estimates by evaluating component pricing, labor, and lead times, ensuring proposals are both technically robust and commercially competitive
  • Provide technical support to customers and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Interface with external vendors to obtain quotes ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Process customer orders, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Participate in sales calls and pre-award meetings to support strategy and customer engagement.
  • Contribute to the refinement of upgrade standards, quoting tools, and workflows to enhance technical consistency and commercial responsiveness

Position Requirements

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or a related technical field.

 

Experience:

  • Experience with rotating equipment, preferably centrifugal pumps.
  • Familiarity with generating technical quotations and processing customer orders.

 

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational capability.
  • Proficiency in PC-based tools and quoting software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with a customer-focused approach

Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range

Between $90,600 and $135,400. Pay will be based on location and experience.
