Position Summary

VIDAR seeking an engineer who combines electro‑mechanical design and analysis with hands‑on testing, and field commissioning of motor‑drive systems. You’ll support design, lab validation, customer installations, and cross‑functional operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design complex electro‑mechanical components and systems; develop CAD models and drawings.
  • Perform FEA/CFD/thermal analysis and testing of complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Assemble, install, and test electro‑mechanical systems in the lab.
  • Lead/assist installation and commissioning of VIDAR motors at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve electro‑mechanical/mechanical issues; perform root cause analysis; recommend system improvements.
  • Support safety and agency certification (UL, IEC, NEMA, ATEX).
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, and customers to support releases and operational workflows.
  • Prepare technical reports on results and design decisions
  • Travel: Up to 25%.

Position Requirements

  • B.S./M.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 1+ years in electro‑mechanical design & testing (industrial motor/drive experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in Pro/E/Creo and related tool suites.
  • Experience with electric motors, and mechanical alignment.
  • Knowledge of ANSI/ASME, NEMA, and IEC motor standards.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.

The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range

Annual salary range is from $63,200.00 to $94,400.00, plus annual incentive plan & benefits.
