Position Summary

Position:  Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op (Summer/Fall 2026)
Location: Seneca Falls, NY 
Education:  Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering
Academic Schedule:  Summer/Fall 2026, full-time, 40 hours per week (May to December 2026)

About the experience:  Our ITT Goulds Pumps co-op candidates have the unique opportunity to work for one of the most recognizable pump brands in the world. They will obtain firsthand experience in the design and manufacture of engineered to order, high specification industrial pumps and monitoring equipment. Our top mechanical engineering and design professionals will offer guidance and mentorship for each candidate.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and procure the necessary fixtures, equipment, or tools necessary for assembly operations.
  • Perform and document root cause analysis.
  • Participate in Gemba/morning market walks and act on escalations by implementing engineering solutions.
  • Employ Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to increase manufacturing capacity, productivity, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions for the various production areas.
  • Ability to read and create CAD models. Exposure to Creo Pro-E preferred.
  • Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize manufacturing processes.

Position Requirements

  • Working towards BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of engineering is preferred.
  • Must be a Junior or Senior level student

Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range

Hourly Range $25.00 to $30.00
