ITT C'treat has been manufacturing and supporting high quality reverse osmosis watermakers and packaged water systems for the offshore oil and gas industry for over forty-five years. With hundreds of systems installed around the world, we are a leading provider of fresh water for offshore applications.
We are seeking a new team member to support our Engineering Department as a Project Manager with hands on expertise that can both execute work and positively manage customer relationships.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Designs electrical control panels and selects instrumentation, motors, and other electrical components for projects managed by other Project Engineers.
- Reviews customer specifications and drawings (P&ID & Electrical Drawings) to determine how best to integrate with standard C'treat designs and manufacturing practices.
- Works with Sales to assist in the technical selling of systems by providing cost estimates and specification exceptions.
- Supervise the factory testing of all systems including verification of control functionality.
- Reviews system manufacturing contracts for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements and specifications.
- Act as liaison between C'treat, the customer, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that customer requirements are met throughout the contract period for assigned projects.
- Coordinates activities concerned with scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
- Prepares interim and completion project drawings, documents, and reports.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field of science or a minimum of five years related experience.
- Experience in the offshore oil and gas industry working with EPC customer engineers and inspectors in the design of control panels for packaged equipment and component sourcing.
- Experience in the electrical design of control panels for classified areas (IEC and NEC) and proficiency reading and preparing electrical diagrams
- Experience in PLC programming desired as well as experience designing and troubleshooting AC and DC systems and electrical/instrumentation control systems
- Familiarity with IEC and NEMA motors to 75 HP
- Proficient in processes and technologies associated with skid-mounted, modular systems including material selection, center of gravity calculations, pumps, valves, piping, paints, water quality, and other topics associated with potable water systems
- CAD ability a plus
