The Project Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects of pump and associated auxiliary system orders within a project team environment. This role ensures customer requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented through detailed technical reviews of proposals, specifications, data sheets, and purchase orders, while identifying and resolving technical discrepancies. The Project Engineer acts as a key technical liaison among project management, product engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, Product Data Management, and Quality Assurance to ensure design, inspection, testing, and documentation are fully compliant and accurate.

EDUCATION:
Minimum of AAS with appropriate experience or BS in a relevant engineering discipline
EXPERIENCE:
Will consider entry level candidates with Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field. Candidates with an Associate’s degree should have experience in project engineering, manufacturing engineering, QA, or testing. Understanding of industry standards ASME II, VIII and IX, ASTM , relevant ANSI standards is strongly preferred
OTHER SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Familiarity with pump standards; HI, API , PIP
- Understanding of industry standards ASME II, VIII and IX, ASTM , relevant ANSI standards.
- Ability to interpret industry and customer specifications
- Ability to communicate complex issues in a manner easily understood by non-technical individuals
- General understanding of foundry and machining processes
- Knowledge of pump applications and processes
- Strong familiarity with mechanical seals, sealing systems, couplings, drivers, lubrication systems, instrumentation systems and other auxiliary systems.
- Hydraulic testing and test systems and acceptance criteria
- Knowledge of common machine monitoring instrumentation
- Practical knowledge of weld procedures, practices and compliance requirements
- The position requires visibility to controlled documents.
