ITT is seeking a motivated and analytical full-time (40 hours per week), 6-month co-op student to support our Global Trade Compliance team. This role offers hands-on experience using data and business analysis to support international trade operations and compliance initiatives. Responsibilities include analyzing trade and compliance data, developing reports and dashboards, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement, supporting audits and documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decision making.
This role is in-person and located in our Orchard Park, NY site.
About the Opportunity
As a Trade & Supply Chain Data Analytics Co-op, you will gain valuable experience within a global manufacturing organization serving customers in aerospace, defense, industrial, and energy markets. Working alongside Trade Compliance, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations professionals, you will develop skills in data analytics, business process improvement, and global trade operations while contributing to projects that enhance compliance, efficiency, and business performance. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in business analytics, supply chain, international business, or compliance.
• Analyze and interpret trade compliance and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools to support business decision-making.
• Support data collection, validation, and cleansing activities to improve data accuracy and integrity.
• Assist with import/export compliance processes, documentation, audits, and recordkeeping activities.
• Conduct research and data analysis to support trade compliance initiatives and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Trade Compliance, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and IT teams on cross-functional projects.
• Document business processes and support the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, automation, and reporting capabilities.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses that support the Global Trade Compliance organization.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, International Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Advanced Power BI and SAP skills strongly preferred, including data modeling, dashboard development, report creation, and data visualization.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Query, SQL, or other analytics tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, manipulate, and interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong business acumen with exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
